The First Trimester

As I've posted previously, I love seeing the uniqueness of the pins I receive. I've often wondered how the size of a safety or diaper pin might compare with the size of a baby in the womb.

Information from Heritage House helped me complete this chart below showing sizes of babies in the first trimester.  I used various safety pins to better visualize these baby measurements.

The baby pictured above has the look, weight, and tender feel of an unborn child.  A 12 week old baby in the womb would measure 3 inches in length and weigh 2 oz.  At this age, the baby would have every organ present, including a beating heart, the ability to make facial expressions, even smiling, be able to feel and respond to skin stimulation, and have detectable brain activity.

"I praise God because
I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful. I know that full well."
Psalm 139:14

Your church and MDPD...

If 20 churches collected 10,000 pins each,
we would reach the Mother's Day PIN Drive
national goal of 200,000 pins!

There are 5,000 pins in each of these bottles below.

We need 15 more churches to participate.
Leave a comment below if your church
is participating in the Mother's Day PIN Drive!

How does the project work?

“oPIN your eyes” is a 9-month project to raise national awareness of what our country has lost through legalized abortion.

During the Holocaust, 6 million Jews were killed.  Did you know that our country has killed nearly 10 times that many? That's nearly 60,000,000 babies!  That is a staggering amount!!  Because I cannot comprehend how many babies have been murdered, I started this project to help our country see what we have lost

How does this work?  I am collecting diaper and safety pins, any size, any color, to represent the lives lost.  1 pin equals 100 lives; therefore, I need 600,000 pins.  I pray that this will help everyone to visualize the number of lives that have been taken through abortion.  This is a massive project that I can't do alone.  I need your help to collect or purchase pins and send them to:  oPIN your eyes Project, P.O. Box 122, Winfield, AL  35594.

After the collection is over on Dec 9th, I hope to create a public display (such as a GIANT baby bottle filled with these pins) where people can come and see this collection.  I pray that God will use this to open our eyes to the grave reality of what our country has lost through legalized abortion.
