Spring Pin Goal

Welcome to springtime, everyone!

In the next three months, we are collecting 100,000 pins.

By going to Amazon and searching "safety pins"
or just opening up the "odds and ends" drawers in your house,
pins can be chosen and shipped to our NEW ADDRESS:

oPIN your eyes Project
P.O. Box 1215,
Warrenton, VA 20188.

Thank you for supporting oPIN in our effort to raise awareness about abortion.
We could not do this without you.

The Next Chapter

Hello, everyone! My name is Susie. The author of the project, Alyson, and I met a few months ago after I learned about oPIN Your Eyes and I was honored when she asked me to take the mantle of this project.

In 2018, we are embarking on the second part of this project: representing the lives lost through abortion at a closer percentage. With the incredible work God has done through oPIN so far, we are representing the unborn lost in America since 1973 at a 200/1 ratio. My goal is to eventually reach a 1/1 ratio. This means collecting approx. 58 million* safety pins.

This is an enormous task, but we serve a God of possibilities. Little by little, this is an effort that is worth pursuing. To be able to show the world an accurate representation of the lives unjustly ended is my ultimate goal with the oPIN your eyes Project.

I have no intention at this point of changing the face of oPIN. However, there will be a new destination for the pin donations. Thank you for your patience as we finalise the details of this next phase.

I will announce the next collection goal soon. Stay tuned!

Final Display

Today is Sanctity of Human Life Sunday.
The anniversary of Roe v. Wade is tomorrow, Jan 22.  Below are pictures of the "oPIN your eyes" Project's final display.

This 3.5 ft "baby bottle" container holds 300,000 pins, and weighs 149 pounds. 1 pin represents 200 lives.

This photo was taken in a graveyard.
The display container was made out of a trashcan.  Rarely do aborted babies receive a proper burial,
but are instead thrown away in a trash can.

The description on the bottle reads:
“oPIN your eyes” began on March 9, 2017 as a 9-month project to raise National Awareness of the nearly 60,000,000 lives destroyed through legalized abortions over the past 45 years. The 300,000 donated diaper and safety pins displayed within this oversized baby bottle represent these babies.

Just imagine all the babies, the various sizes, races, ages of these murdered babies.  He knows each one by name.  (At the top of this photo above,
you can see the largest pin that was donated.)

It would take 200 of these bottles filled with 300,000 pins each to fully visualize a ratio of 1 pin to 1 baby killed due to legalized surgical abortions.

Currently, nearly 60,000,000 babies have died due to legalized abortions.

Join me in praying that God will use this project to open the eyes of our country to what we have lost.

"The Lord opens the eyes of the blind.
The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down;
the Lord loves the righteous."  Psalm 146:8

A Note from Alyson

This Sunday, I will be posting different pictures of the final display!  I hope you will check the blog again!

I want to thank you all for following me on this journey from the first blog posts until now.  I have been so blessed by your encouragement and participation.  I hate to say goodbye to you all, but I am not giving up on bringing awareness.  I will continue to share these heartbreaking truths with people I meet,
and I hope you will do the same.

I am so thrilled to have the privilege to turn this project, blog, and goal of bringing national awareness over to Susie.  Please keep checking this blog to see her first posts and meet her!  She will be using the same blog, Facebook, Instagram, and email address.

Thank you again and check out the blog on Sunday!
